What you can expect:
- Look forward to the opportunity to help shape our new location in the Greater London area from day one and bring your own ideas to life.
- Taking ownership of day-to-day operations, you will coordinate staffing requirements and work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Commercial and administrative responsibilities will also form an important part of your role, ranging from monthly closing preparation to monitoring income, expenditure and outstanding accounts.
- When it comes to payroll preparation and employee records, you will coordinate all relevant processes with accuracy and care.
- By preparing meaningful reports and analysing key performance indicators, you will provide a reliable basis for operational and strategic decisions.
- Working with internal teams and external specialists, you will ensure that UK health and safety, environmental and sustainability requirements are met and embedded in everyday operations.
What you bring:
- Relevant experience in an operational, commercial or site-based management role, within logistics or freight forwarding industry
- Good knowledge of commercial business processes, controlling, and accounting
- Initial leadership experience and a genuine interest in coordinating and developing employees
- A good understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements in the UK relating to HR, occupational health and safety, and environmental compliance, or the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with these areas
- Excellent English language skills; German language skills are an advantage for collaboration within our international group of companies
- A structured, solution-oriented way of working, a strong sense of responsibility, and the motivation to actively help build and develop a new site
